The playground 🛝

Where curiosity has no brief. This is where I follow ideas simply because I find them interesting, experiment with new tools and techniques, and learn by making. Some experiments go somewhere, others don't, but that's part of the fun, and quite often what I discover here finds its way back into my professional work.

Fusion Mexicana
Fusión Mexicana celebrates, through typography and graphic design, the friendships that Mexicans build around the world and throughout our beloved homeland. Mexicans have a unique way of connecting with people: making friends everywhere and welcoming friends from everywhere. Every friendship becomes an exchange of stories, traditions, languages, flavors, and perspectives that naturally evolves into a cultural fusion. Each design represents the meeting point between Mexico and other cultures, celebrating the human connections born from curiosity, hospitality, and the joy of sharing experiences. Fusión Mexicana is a tribute to the friendships that transform differences into shared experiences and remind us that culture grows when it meets other cultures. Because every friend leaves a mark, and every friendship creates a new fusion.

Latin Alternative Bands Illustrated
I noticed some of my favourite alternative/rock bands from Latin America have a very particular literal meaning, as a tribute I went forward and illustrated their names. The project includes bands such as: Cafe Tacvba, Aterciopelados, Bomba Stereo, Volumen Cero, Babasonicos, Jarabe de Palo, La Oreja de Van Gogh, La Gusana Ciega, Control Machete and more.

One Design x Day 2010
One Design x Day is a personal project and commitment towards my love and passion for the visual arts, with the main purpose of learning, experimenting, discovering, and growing in every aspect of design. From concept development to execution, I seek to not only to push myself to create solid daily visual concepts, but also I hope that I can share a message that people can relate to. I want to create pieces that share a message from what I have learned in life. I believe the visual arts have a unique power for communicating ideas, and hopefully through design I can contribute a little bit to make this a better world and giving visual support to my visitors.
